===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR MARCH 15th – 17th, 2024 =====
The Monster Jam Stadium Series competitors moved to the flat track of the Arena series this weekend with races in Albuquerque. Friday night saw Ryan Anderson’s final round streak get broken in the first round by Colt Stephens, but the current world #1 was right back in the winner’s circle on Saturday piloting the Grave Digger truck. Mike Christensen also made his way to the finals and lost both times to Anderson on Saturday before beating Anderson clean by inches during the last race on Sunday. That performance moves Christensen back inside the Top Ten.
Dalton Widner welcomed reigning Open Champion Tyler Menninga to the Arena Series in Fresno where they split the weekend with 2 wins a piece, although Widner was the only one to make the finals in all four races. He also moves up into the Top Ten.
The Monster Truck Wars tours also had a meeting of uncommon rivals as the stars from their eastern and western series—Aaron Basl and Preston Collins—met for the first time in Seguin and it was veteran Basl coming out on top with 3 wins through the 4 races.
We also saw Triton Robbins finally break through with his first win on the All Star Tour; Donald Epidendio sweep three races against Straight Up Racing in Nevada; and Jerry Beck get his first win of the season on the Toughest Tour!
Take note that our new race minimum is now 15 races so some drivers were dropped this week until their reported race tally reaches the new minimum.
Thank you to everyone who reported results to us this weekend: Sean Green, Jerry Beck, Dallas Glenn-Rogers, Cameron Tweedy, Nate Bay, Bryan Wagner, Preston Collins, Jason Rivas, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

The Monster Jam Stadium Series competitors moved inside the arena setting of Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque this past weekend. While this stop did not award points for their Stadium Championship, it absolutely counts towards the Open Championship! Ryan Anderson had his 12-race final round streak come to an end early as he was defeated in the first round on Friday night by Colt Stephens in ThunderROARus. Camden Murphy went on to win the event, but that was his only trip to the finals all weekend. Anderson regrouped on Saturday and showed the same speed he shows on the big tracks. Driving the Grave Digger truck this weekend, he won twice over Mike Christensen in Vendetta on Saturday. Sunday saw Christensen and Anderson meet in the finals again, but this time with Team Throttle Monster getting the last laugh. With his 3rd win and 7th final of the season, Christensen moves up 9 spots into the Top Ten of the Open Championship.

Those two wins also put Menninga in the lead for most wins this season with 22.
But Dalton Widner not only matched Menninga’s two wins but was also in the finals every race. He’s been in the final round in 10 of his past 14 brackets and has worked his way 9th place overall with 16 wins, which is the 3rd most of all drivers.

That’s his 1st win of the season. Plus, after finishing as runner-up to Daron Basl on Saturday night, Beck has now been in the finals in 3 of his past 4 races.
