===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 26th – 29th, 2024 =====
It was a close battle right to the end but Ryan Anderson holds on to claim his 3rd Open Championship, tying the record held by this year’s runner-up Tyler Menninga. Anderson held the #1 ranking since January 3rd with the exception of one weekend in early September when it looked like Menninga might take the crown. But Tyler had a bad weekend in Savannah, Georgia the following weekend and got bumped back down to 2nd as Tristan England stole the spotlight and moved himself into 3rd.
Ryan Anderson had the 3rd most points but was way ahead of everyone else in Average, finishing the year with 319.36 points-per-race. The next closest was Tristan England with 237.12! Only 5 drivers finished with an average above 200. We’ll have more Season Recap coming up next week once the standings are finalized.
Preston Collins had a great final weekend as he swept the three races in Cullman, Alabama. That gives him 34 wins this season which is the most of any driver!
Cory Snyder won once in two final round appearances to become King of the Beach in Wildwood, New Jersey. Mike Christensen added another win to move up into 7th place overall, giving Team Throttle Monster 2 drivers in the Top Ten. Weston Anderson also moved up one spot with a win in Vancouver.
REMEMBER! We are still accepting late results for the 2024 season. If you have brackets from any of the events we are missing (which we included in a previous post) you can still send them in this week. We received a few late results this past weekend which is why you see drivers like Michael Vaters Sr getting a big bump in the standings despite not racing this past weekend.
The 2025 Open Championships season starts right now! We kick things off with Monster Jam in 3 countries, the Red Blue West Coast Nationals, and lots of other independent races all around the country.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Nick Jones, Andrew Thornton, Mark Werner, Mike Christensen, Preston Collins, Daniel Clark, Ceejay Rettew, John Brown, Garrett Hanson, Mike Bevacqua, Kaila Savage, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

Eric Swanson won his 8th race of the season in a photo finish over Travis Groth in Monster Moose. The CFP No Limits crew had to delay this event due to problems with the venue’s grandstands but were finally able to get the racing in just before the end of the 2024 Open Championship season.
