===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 11th – 13th, 2026 =====
Only two weeks remain in the 2026 Open Championship! Jon Zimmer Jr is looking secure in his #1 ranking. Second-place Tyler Menninga has one more event to run this weekend in Seattle, but he needs 861 points to catch Zimmer and Seattle itself will not have enough points for that.
Tim Hall Jr gained 3 spots in the rankings after winning his 3rd consecutive Monster Jam bracket. He took the first two races in Calgary this weekend. In Nashville, Josh Holman blasted through two ironwall sets on the drag racing course to win for the 5th time in 6 races. In Petaluma, Bill Payne won for the 31st time this year, which is now the most wins by one driver this season.
This weekend will see a lot of points up for grabs with a 5-race weekend in Rosemont, Illinois, plus the final Stadium Series event of the 2026 Open Championship in Seattle, and the annual Fall Jamboree in Danville, Illinois!

9/13 Sun Aft: MATT CODY [Grave Digger] defeated Alex Bardin [Earth Shaker]
Tim Hall Jr won his third consecutive Monster Jam racing bracket on Saturday in Calgary. This was his first three-peat in Monster Jam and first three consecutive wins since last October when he won in Red Bluff and Logan, Utah. The wins this weekend helped Hall gain 3 spots in the rankings and reach 27th. Matt Cody closed out the weekend with a win over Alex Bardin who was in his 2nd final round. Bardin gained a spot in the rankings to reach 7th place, which is his highest ranking since February.

9/11 Fri Ngt: MIKE SOPHA [Elder Abuse] defeated Juan Munoz [Thunder Chicken]
9/12 Sat Ngt: ROB POUTRE [Dragon Slayer] defeated Shane Grunseth [Metal Monster]
Mike Sopha won his first career bracket on a big St Louis course in Globe, Arizona, beating out Juan Munoz in their first meeting of the year. Rob Poutre made his debut with Dragon Slayer on Saturday night and won in his third truck identity of the year after Carolina Crusher and Geronimo.

9/11 Fri Ngt: ROD SCHMIDT [Redneck Rampage] defeated Brad Shippert [Against The Grain]
9/12 Sat Ngt: KARSON SCHMIDT [Monster Patrol] defeated Rod Schmidt [Redneck Rampage]
Rod Schmidt joins the rankings in 77th after picking up his 10th win in 20 races on Friday with Monster Trucks Maniac. Schmidt was 10-0 in final rounds until his son Karson finally beat him on Saturday night, picking up his 3rd win of the season.

9/11 Fri Ngt: MONTANA ROBBINS [Plane Krazy] defeated Jordan Healey [Joe Fly]

The Friday night bracket in Lancaster got truncated due to breakage, as Triton Robbins could not return after his opening round win. As a result, the finals came sooner than expected and it was Montana Robbins taking the win. We do not have brackets from Saturday night.

9/12 Sat Ngt: RICHARD BERNIER [Hellion] defeated Mat Briand [Train Wreck]
Richard Bernier won a photo finish in the holeshot racing final in London, Ontario, beating out Mat Briand in their 6th head-to-head appearance. The monster trucks return to the West End Fair again this weekend with two more events.

9/12 Sat Ngt: PAUL CRAIGHEAD [Hammer Down] defeated Stanley Hernandez [Werewolf]
David Tucker raced the world’s only independent suspension monster truck to his 3rd win of the year on Saturday afternoon in Missoula. The truck suffered a broken axle in the Best Trick competition during the night event and could not compete in racing. Instead it was Paul Craighead taking Hammer Down through the finals.

9/11 Fri Ngt: JOSH HOLMAN [Rescue Racer] defeated Preston Pérez [Geronimo]
9/12 Sat Ngt: JOSH HOLMAN [Rescue Racer] defeated Preston Pérez [Geronimo]
Monster Truck Bash met drivers with a tough no ramps, two car set drag racing track on the asphalt front stretch at the Tennessee State Fair. Both nights saw John Holman take the win over Preston Perez in Geronimo. Holman has won 5 of his last 6 brackets.

9/11 Fri Ngt: DONALD EPIDENDIO [Titan] defeated Nick Jones [Spitfire]
9/12 Sat Ngt: BILL PAYNE [Rock Star] defeated Donald Epidendio [Titan]
Top five competitors Donald Epidendio and Bill Payne each picked up another win with the Malicious Tour in Petaluma. For Epidendio, the win and his runner-up finish on Saturday gained him a spot to return the Titan to the Top 5. For Payne, his Saturday win was his 31st recorded win of the season which is the most of any driver in the sport this season.

David Olfert picked up his 21st win of the season and improved to 1-1 against Mike Christensen this season with his win in Price.

Colton Fowler took T-Rex to its 12th win of the season as he raced past Jeff Murphy on the tight Chicago-style track in Massachusetts. This weekend also a rare East Coast appearance from Gabe Montoya driving the Outlaw truck. We are still looking for more info on the two afternoon brackets, specifically the winners and runners-up.
