===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR NOVEMBER 29th – 30th, 2025 =====

Even though there are fewer races this time of year, there are still important points being won! Jon Zimmer Jr has the most points right now courtesy his industry-leading 8 wins. Donald Epidendio has the best Average score as he’s been in the final round in 9 of his 10 events, including both in Nipomo this past weekend.

Weston Anderson came close to sweeping the three-race weekend in Dayton, Ohio, losing the middle race due to a turning error in the finals. But he earned enough points to get above the 1500-point mark before December.

The weekend also saw strong runs from Paul Craighead, Brian Leach, and Stanley Hernandez with the Nitro Tour in Santa Barbara.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Stanley Hernandez, Nick Jones, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== CURRENT STANDINGS =====

New standings for the 2026 season will be posted beginning in January. We are still recording results every week but we will not be compiling the points until enough drivers have had time to accumulate at least five events to ensure that the Average Points calculations are fair.

===== DAYTON, OH =====

11/29 Sat Aft: WESTON ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Jerry Beck [Black Pearl]

11/29 Sat Ngt: MARK HALL [Raminator] defeated Weston Anderson [Grave Digger]

11/30 Sun Aft: WESTON ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Jamey Garner [Over Bored]

Weston Anderson rises above 1500 points early in the season after 2 wins and 3 final rounds at the Dayton Monster Jam. His only loss was in Saturday night’s final when the truck bicycled in the final turn and let former world champion Mark Hall race by for the win. Jerry Beck made a cameo appearance driving Black Pearl and advanced to the finals in his first race in the new truck.

===== NIPOMO, CA =====

11/29 Sat Aft: DONALD EPIDENDIO [Titan] defeated Gavin Sell [Identity Theft]

11/29 Sat Ngt: BILL PAYNE [Rock Star] defeated Donald Epidendio [Titan]

Donald Epidendio is off to an amazing start for the 2026 racing season. He has won 9 of his 10 races and missed the finals only once. The Titan driver has the 2nd most Total Points (2325) and the best Average Points (232.50) of all drivers so far.

===== OMAHA, NE =====

11/29 Sat Aft: JON ZIMMER SR [Uproar] defeated Matt Cody [Grave Digger]

11/30 Sun Aft: JON ZIMMER JR [Terminal Velocity] defeated Tim Hall Jr [Jurassic Attack]

Jon Zimmer Sr won for the third time this season to open the Monster Jam racing in Omaha. His son Jon Jr then won on Sunday afternoon against another rising star in Tim Hall Jr. Zimmer Jr’s 8 wins are the most of any driver so far for the 2026 season and he has more points (2750) than any other driver.

===== SANTA BARBARA, CA =====

11/29 Sat Aft: PAUL CRAIGHEAD [Bear Foot] defeated Stanley Hernandez [Lone Wolf]

11/29 Sat Ngt: BRIAN LEACH [Boss Gator] defeated Stanley Hernandez [Lone Wolf]

Paul Craighead was dominating in the Nitro Tour events in Santa Barbara, California driving the legendary Bear Foot truck. He won racing on Saturday afternoon and swept the other competitions, as well. On Saturday night, Craighead lost a controversial final to Brian Leach, claiming that his opponent jumped the gun. In terms of Open Championship points, however, that race has to be counted as exhibition only as our sources tell us that Bear Foot got a direct bye to the final round and did not compete in the bracket. As a result, the Boss Gator vs Lone Wolf is counted as the technical final round.
