===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR JULY 16th – 22nd, 2025 =====
Team Scream went north of the border and Chris Koehler came home with both wins from the Throwdown races at Delaware Speedway in Ontario. He was our biggest improver of the week, gaining 8 spots and joining the Top 50 with those wins.
The wildest track was—as expected—the awesome St Louis-style track that the Toughest Tour assembled at the Stompin Grounds. Devin Winfield took the first bracket, giving Team Velociraptor three consecutive wins in Lamar following David Olfert’s twin wins last year. Unlike last year, however, Winfield couldn’t repeat on night two due to early breakage. Instead it was Mike Christensen with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the brand new Shell Shocked truck. Christensen last won in Lamar in 2021.
Scott Hartsock’s Gunslinger returned to action earlier this month with exhibition performances in Del Mar, California. This weekend, new owner Ricky Fowler had the truck primed for racing and he beat out another old school name—Black Widow—in the finals for his first win behind the red Ford.
Donald Epidendio came one heat away from a three-race sweep in Bremerton. Nick Jones capitalized on Epidendio’s rare mistake in the first turn to claim his 9th win of the season. Jason Court, Shane Plato, Sharon Lubsen, and Zach Winchenbach also picked up two wins each this weekend. Tim Manchester and Jerrod Compton each won for the first time this season.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Chuck Plumlee, J.r. Rouse, Matt Stoltz, Max Gillie, Nate Bay, Bryan Wagner, John Brown, Ricky Fowler, Carson Williams, Preston Collins, Josh Baumgartner, David Rife, Mark Werner, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

It was a tight U-turn course in Eugene with the Nitro Tour and it was a challenge for all the drivers. The tight turns and series of jumps kept the results of the heats uncertain until the end. At race one, Tim Manchester picked up his first win of the season in a close race against Stanley Hernandez who was in his 18th final round. Later that night, Jerrod Compton had a couple come-from-behind wins to pick up his 1st win of the season. He beat the earlier winner Hillbilly in the first round, and then made up for a late start in the finals, taking advantage of steering problems on the Boss Gator.

Mike Christensen was out of the bracket the first night with breakage, but his team still came out on top as Devin Winfield took Velociraptor to victory lane.
