Congratulations to TRISTAN ENGLAND for his runner-up finish in the 2025 Monster Truck Racing Open Championship! Tristan has been steadily improving his rankings since 2021 with finished of 18th, 9th, 6th, 3rd, and now 2nd. This was his 4th consecutive season with 10+ wins and his second time scoring more than 10,000 points.
After scoring no points in Anaheim to start the year, Tristan rebounded with 5 consecutive final rounds and 3 wins between Kansas City and Saint Louis. He put together a 20-race points-earning streak that moved him from 27th rank to 5th in mid-March and he never dropped out of the Top Ten after that.
With The Stadium Series having concluded in May, Tristan spent most of the summer just watching and slipped down to 7th, but in August he dominated the Freestyle Mania event in Fresno winning 3 of 4, and followed that up with 2 more wins in Los Angeles which put him suddenly in contention for the world championship. The conclusion to the season didn’t go his way, however. Despite a win in Calgary, he also left points on the table with a semi-final round loss the previous night. In Saint Louis, he was paired up head-to-head with fellow title contender Tyler Menninga in the quarter-finals. The stars were aligning for England, but the most important light—the starting light—wrecked his chances, as Tristan had problems seeing the go-signal in the race and was left at the starting line in a frustrating anti-climax.
Despite the disappointing finish, Tristan had another great season of racing and finished on the podium for the second consecutive year. Add that to his World Finals Racing Championship 2 years ago and runner-up finish last year and you can see that he is still a rising star in the sport of monster truck racing and will be a top pick for the 2026 Open Championship.
