===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 4th – 7th, 2025 =====
The next two weekends are critically important for the world championship. Tyler Menninga and Tristan England will go head-to-head in Calgary before heading to Saint Louis the following weekend for one big dome event. They each need to gain points to try and catch Coty Saucier for the #1 rankings. Saucier has no events left and is stuck watching from the sidelines, which means he has to cheer on some other drivers who can play spoiler.
Weston Anderson is 957 points behind Saucier and with 5 huge events in Rosemont this weekend and 4 more in Tacoma after that, he will almost certainly pass Saucier and knock the Dragon down in rank score. That alone would not be enough for Coty to lose the spot, however. Tyler and Tristan still need to pass Triton Robbins in points to gain another spot and catch Saucier. But Bill Payne is right there in points, too, and if he can continue winning as he does on the Malicious Tour, he has a chance to also pass Tyler (he passed Tristan this weekend) and give another boost to Saucier. While Tyler and Tristan each have 3 large events left, Payne has 6 smaller events remaining but also 32 unreported events from this season, and if we get any late results from those that could really change things up.
Other news from this weekend: Bill Payne scored some rare wins over Donald Epidendio and moved up into the Top Ten while Epidendio joins the rankings in 17th, which is a very high spot to join this late in the season. Jimmy Creten won for the 36th time and will likely end the season with the most wins of all drivers. Andy Seiver won his first career event in Yuba City. And Kaley Engstrom reached her 50 recorded event this season and is only the fourth driver to compete in 40+ final rounds. She won on Sunday against the Outlaw.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Kreg Christensen, Preston Perez, Nick Jones, Kory Kinal, Andrew Thornton, Tim Manchester, John Brown, Nomin White, Shane Grunseth, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== ROSEBURG, OR =====
9/5 Fri Ngt: BILL PAYNE [Rockstar] defeated Donald Epidendio [Titan]
9/6 Sat Ngt: BILL PAYNE [Rockstar] defeated Donald Epidendio [Titan]
Big news from Roseburg as Bill Payne wins twice against arch-rival Donald Epidendio, which not bumped him up into the Top Ten, but also got Payne past championship contender Tristan England in the Total Points rankings. That dropped England’s rank score down by 1 and let Tyler Menninga take the #2 ranking heading into this important weekend. Payne now leads England by 232 and trails Tyler Menninga by only 197. Both England and Menninga are trying to gain ground in the Total Points scoring in their effort to pass Coty Saucier for the world championship, but Payne is making them work for it.
Also of note is that Payne was only 3-22 against Donald Epidendio before this weekend, so those were two big wins at an important time in the championship chase. Despite the two loses, Donald Epidendio’s two runner-ups enabled him to join the rankings in 17th place, which is a very high ranking to come in at this late in the season.
