===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR MAY 7th – 10th, 2026 =====

Ryan Anderson won his 5th race and 5th Monster Jam Series Championship in Denver, Colorado this weekend. On the Monster Truck Wars tour, Kaley Engstrom collected her 20th recorded win of the season making her the first woman to win 20 races in a single season in Open Championship history! The weekend also saw Brandon Arthur take all 4 Overalls and 2 Racing wins in Helsinki.

The Monster Madness points series continued in Canada with Richard Bernier and Perry Como picking up their first wins. Jason Court leads Pat Paquet by 2 points.

Travis Groth, Jerry Furajter, Donald Epidendio, Matt Cody, Jimmy Creten, Montana Robbins, and Brian Harwood (who made a surprise return) each won twice this weekend. Dillon Fenley extended his winning streak to 13 races. Michael and Nick Pagliarulo split wins on the big track in Mansfield with the Outlaw Drags. And David Olfert won in his debut with the Full Throttle Tour in Waterloo, Iowa.

NOTE that we have made our final Minimum Event increase to 20 events. This is the final increase of the year so everyone who is on the list now will remain on the list at season’s end. For drivers previous on the list who are under 20 reported races, they have been removed until they reach the 20 race minimum at which time they will re-join the rankings.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Bk Moody, Terry Woodcock, Vincent Akard, J.r. Rouse, Dillon Fenley, Pat Paquet, Jason Court, Kristal Carey, Max Gillie, Phil Vicinanza, Colton Fowler, Tyler Groth, Brett Mason, Paul Craighead, Tim Manchester, Nick Jones, John Brown, Tim Howard and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== BOSSIER CITY, LA =====

5/9 Sat Aft: TRAVIS GROTH [The Veteran] defeated Tyler Groth [Double Trouble]

5/9 Sat Ngt: TRAVIS GROTH [The Veteran] defeated Tyler Groth [Double Trouble]

Travis Groth swept the weekend in Bossier City with the Kicker Nationals, beating out brother Tyler Groth both brackets on the roundy-round course. This event was postponed from earlier in the year due to a snow storm. The delay let us see the debut of Ryan Dieterich’s Invictus truck who posted an early round upset over Bigfoot on its first time out.

===== DALLAS, TX =====

5/9 Sat Aft: DEVIN JONES [T-Rex] defeated Jerry Furajter [Shark Attack]

5/9 Sat Ngt: JERRY FURAJTER [Shark Attack] defeated Devin Jones [T-Rex]

5/10 Sun Aft: JERRY FURAJTER [Shark Attack] defeated Devin Jones [T-Rex]

Monster Truck Wars was back at the big Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, Texas for another big weekend of racing. No surprises in the finals as Jerry Furajter and Devin Jones met up in all the finals once again. Furajter won the weekend series 2-to-1 and leads their season series 18-12. The 30 head-to-head races between Jerry and Devin are the most in the sport this season.

===== DENVER, CO =====

5/9 Sat Aft: RYAN ANDERSON [Son-Uva Digger] defeated Bryce Kenny [Tech Deck Wreck Deck]

Ryan Anderson claimed his 5th Monster Jam Series Championship on Denver, Colorado and also won his 5th race of the season. He beat out Bryce Kenny who was in only his 2nd final of the year, surprisingly. That certainly shows the difficulty of winning on the Monster Jam tour as Kenny has had at least 3 wins in each of his last 5 seasons.

Current world #1 and Stadium Series title contender Tyler Menninga was eliminated in the first round of racing by the man he beat for the Stadium Series title last year: Bari Musawwir. That was Bari’s first win over Tyler this season.

===== GUYMON, OK =====

5/9 Sat Ngt: DILLON FENLEY [King Krunch] defeated Aaron Basl [Night Life]

Dillon Fenley has won 13 consecutive events. That streak was sort-of broken at his last race when engine trouble saw the King lose in the first round, but the event had so much breakage that the bracket could not be completed and so points were not awarded. This weekend in Guymon, Oklahoma with the Mayhem tour, King Krunch was running strong against strong competition as he beat out Night Life in the finals. Fenley is currently unranked with only 15 reported events but has 1808 points.

===== HELSINKI, FINLAND =====

5/7 Thu Ngt: PETER NYMAN [El Toro Loco] defeated Brandon Arthur [Earth Shaker]

5/8 Fri Ngt: BRANDON ARTHUR [Earth Shaker] defeated Charlie Pauken [Grave Digger]

5/9 Sat Aft: BRANDON ARTHUR [Earth Shaker] defeated Peter Nyman [El Toro Loco]

5/9 Sat Ngt: CHARLIE PAUKEN [Grave Digger] defeated Brandon Arthur [Earth Shaker]

Brandon Arthur won all 4 Overalls with Monster Jam in Helsinki this past weekend including 2 racing wins and 4 finals. That moved him up 1 spot in the standings to 22nd in the rankings with 11 wins. Arthur has been becoming a serious threat in racing this year, winning lots of races on the International tour, and also claiming a Stadium Series win while filling in for Tristan England earlier in the year.

Veterans Charlie Pauken and Peter Nyman each picked up wins and runner-up finishes.

===== HOWARD LAKE, MN =====

5/9 Sat Aft: KALEY ENGSTROM [Shark Attack] defeated Colton Fowler [T-Rex]

5/10 Sun Aft: KALEY ENGSTROM [Shark Attack] defeated Colton Fowler [T-Rex]

Kaley Engstrom has been making a big name for herself on the Monster Truck Wars tour. Initially popular for her behind-the-scenes YouTube channel where she chronicled her track building for the tour, this year Engstrom has taken on the role as the series headliner driving the popular Shark Attack truck. This weekend on the drag racing track in Howard Lake she also won her 21st reported racing bracket of the season, which is the 3rd most of any driver so far this season, and also makes her the first woman to reach 20 wins in a single season in the Open Championship’s 8 years! She beat her own female record of 15 wins that she set last year. The only other double-digit ladies have been Dawn Creten’s 12 wins in 2022, and 10 wins a piece for Creten (2023), Krysten Anderson (2021) and Jamie Sullivan (2024).

===== MANSFIELD, OH =====

5/8 Fri Ngt: MICHAEL PAGLIARULO [Excaliber] defeated Mark Hall [Raminator]

5/9 Sat Ngt: NICK PAGLIARULO [Kraken] defeated Brooke Pagliarulo [MissFire]

The Outlaw Drags are back for another season of big track racing. This year saw their first visit to the new Mansfield Speedway in Ohio. Heavy rains spoiled the Friday racing as the slick conditions prevent the trucks from safely racing over top of the school buses as originally planned, so the racing continued on an abbreviated two-jump track instead. Michael Pagliarulo in Excaliber beat out Virginia Giant in the first race of the night, a real treat for old school fans. He advanced all the way to the finals and took out former two-time Open Champion Mark Hall for the win. On Saturday, drier conditions let the full course be run. It was another Pagliarulo taking the win as Nick in Kraken handled the bus obstacle the best to claim his 12th win of the season over sister Brooke.

===== MILTON, ON =====

5/9 Sat Mrn: KEVIN LUBSEN [Bucking Bronco] defeated Jim Pigeon [Outfoxed]

5/9 Sat Aft: MIKE WORSLEY [T-Rex] defeated Sharon Lubsen [RoboShark]

He has competed in 64 brackets this season, which is 6th most of all drivers, trailing only tourmates Blake Granger, Tim Hall Jr, Alex Bardin, Carson Williams, and Cliff Turner.

===== ORILLIA, ON =====

5/9 Sat Aft: RICHARD BERNIER [Hellion] defeated Pat Paquet [Psycho Pat]

5/9 Sat Ngt: PAT PAQUET [Psycho Pat] defeated Ryan Como [Rat Nasty]

===== PEOTONE, IL =====

5/9 Sat Aft: JIMMY CRETEN [Bounty Hunter] defeated Dawn Creten [Scarlet Bandit]

5/9 Sat Ngt: JIMMY CRETEN [Bounty Hunter] defeated Kory Kinal [Jekyll & Hyde]

Jimmy Creten has been winning races in the Open Championship since our first season back in 2004 and he continues to add wins to his impressive career. He won both in Peotone this weekend, giving him 17 for the season.

===== PRINCE GEORGE, BC =====

5/9 Sat Aft: JASON COURT [Roughneck] defeated Jared Vogel [Crude Behavior]

5/9 Sat Ngt: PERRY COMO [Loud & Dirty] defeated Jared Vogel [Crude Behavior]

The western half of the Monster Madness points series stayed indoors for two sell-out crowds at CN Centre in Prince George. Jason Court won the concrete holeshot racing in the afternoon but was out with breakage for the night race. That gave Perry Como a chance to make his first final round of the tour this season and pick up the win over Jared Vogel, who has been in the final round in all four races this season.

Despite missing racing, Court in Roughneck accumulate enough points in the other events to overtake Pat Paquet for the series points lead with 54 points. The tour continues in two weeks in Kamloops, British Columbia.

===== QUARRYVILLE, PA =====

5/9 Sat Ngt: PRESTON COLLINS [Jurassic Attack] defeated Greg Winchenbach [Crushstation]

The Buck Motorsports Park south of Lancaster, Pennsylvania kicked off their summer racing season with five top trucks competing in straight-line drag racing. Greg Winchenbach appeared to jump the gun in his first round race against Preston Collins, but the officials elected to re-run the race to ensure there had been no problems with the lights. Collins won the official race, but Winchenbach returned as fast loser and met with Collins in the finals. Unfortunately for the monstah lobstah, the same thing happened as Winchenbach jumped on the line before the green. He caught himself, but was then out of sync when the green came on for real and Collins stormed by for his 3rd win of the season.

===== STOCKTON, CA =====

5/9 Sat Aft: DONALD EPIDENDIO [Titan] defeated Bill Payne [Rock Star]

5/9 Sat Ngt: DONALD EPIDENDIO [Titan] defeated Gavin Sell [Mixed Up]

Gavin Sell was in his 6th final of the year and gained a spot in the rankings, although he’s still searching for his first bracket win and first win over Epidendio (0-10).

Caden Morris picked up a win and runner-up effort with Dragon Slayer on a challenging 6-jump, 2-turn track with the Insanity Tour in Tremonton. The usual Chicago-style track was given a second jump on each straight away just before the turn which made for a uniquely technical track. Tim Manchester won the first night out, his second win of the season.

Paul Craighead worked his way through the field for his 6th consecutive victory for Team Bear Foot. He has a 9-race final round streak, as well.
