===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR AUGUST 27th – SEPTEMBER 1st, 2025 =====

Jon Zimmer Jr scored 776 points in Savannah this weekend and moved ahead of championship contenders Tyler Menninga and Tristan England in the Total Points scoring, which has given Coty Saucier a slightly bigger lead. Weston Anderson also scored two wins in Savannah and is within 1000-points for Saucier—a big number but not insurmountable for the talented Anderson who still had 9 races left this season.

Additional big news for the championship which will be decided at the end of this month: Bari Musawwir has 8 events left on his schedule in England with the Monster Jam Ramped Up tour. It will take a lot of work, but if he can win 20 of the 24 possible rounds of racing in front of him, he could pass Coty Saucier in Average Points, which would add a whole other variable into the championship scenarios!

This upcoming weekend is going to be quiet on the Monster Jam side of things, since Oakland is expected to be timed racing. However, Bill Payne will still be action on the Malicious Tour in Roseburg, Oregon. We failed to get results from any of Bill’s 3 events in Black Creek this past weekend, so he is still 272 points behind Tristan and 701 points behind Tyler. But if the Rock Star can pass either of them in Total Points, that would be another vote in favor of Coty Saucier retaining the #1 ranking.

Also this past weekend, Nick Pagliarulo moved up 10 spots in the rankings after his first Monster Jam win of the season in Savannah. That’s his 7th win overall this season. Rookie Anthony Brunner recorded his first career win driving Crash Test Dummy in Palmer, Alaska. Travis Groth in the purple Jurassic Attack won twice, however, and claimed the Alaskan Tour championship with the All Star Tour. Brian Leach also won his first career race in Salem, Oregon, driving for the legendary USA-1 team.

Dillon Fenley won for the 15th time in 18 races and needs just 2 more reported events to join the rankings. Jacob Ladwig became the 9th driver this season to win 20 races, picking up that prize in Twin Falls, Idaho.

And in Sweden, Örjan Henriksson completed his David Morris-style season by winning the Swedish Monsterrace championship after debuting the smooth-running Yellow Cab truck in the Fullsize division this year. He won 4 of the 6 races and was in the final for the other two. We’ll see if the competition can re-tool for 2026 and find a way to catch that cab.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Connor McNeil, Mike Christensen, Anne Breaud, Gabriel Lee, Bryan Wagner, Nate Bay, Tim Manchester, Michael Gustavsson, Nick Kraemer, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== BLACK CREEK, BC =====

8/29 Fri Ngt: We do not have results from this event

8/30 Sat Ngt: We do not have results from this event

8/31 Sun Aft: We do not have results from this event

Unfortunately, we do not have any results from the three Malicious Tour events from Saratoga Speedway in Black Creek, British Columbia. That’s pretty important in the chase for the championship because Bill Payne is currently only 272 points behind Tristan England and 701 points behind Tyler Menninga. If Payne could pass either driver in the Total Points placing, it would give Coty Saucier a bigger lead for the #1 rank.

If you have any racing results from these Black Creek events please send them our way!

===== CHILTON, WI =====

9/1 Mon Ngt: TOMMY VARILONE [Dirt Crew] defeated Mikayla Tulachka [Beautiful Chaos]

Tommy Varilone went to the finals 4 times in 5 events in the month of August but came out empty-handed on wins. September is off to a better start as he beat out a hard-charging Mikayla Tulachka in the All Star final in Wisconsin.

===== ED, SWEDEN =====

8/30 Sat Aft: PHILIP JOHANSSON [Hurricane] defeated Örjan Henriksson [Yellow Cab]

8/31 Sun Aft: ÖRJAN HENRIKSSON [Yellow Cab] defeated Peter Nyman [Thor]

The Monsterrace season in Sweden concluded at the historic track in Ed and Örjan Henriksson closed out the championship with a win on Sunday afternoon. His Yellow Cab truck leveled-up to the Fullsize class just this season and is already dominating the field. Mechanical trouble on Saturday afternoon let another new truck—Hurricane drive by Philip Johansson—blow on by for his first win of the season in his first race of the season.

===== GRANBURY, TX =====

8/29 Fri Ngt: DILLON FENLEY [Crazy Heifer] defeated Alec White [Bad Decision]

8/30 Sat Ngt: DILLON FENLEY [Crazy Heifer] defeated Alec White [Bad Decision]

Despite a strong challenge from Alec White, Dillon Fenley continues his impressive racing performance in the southwest. He swept both Monster Trucks Maniac tour events in Granbury, giving him 8 wins in a row and 15 wins in 18 events this season. Two more reported events and Fenley will join the world rankings. He currently has 1901 points for an average of 105.61, which should put him around 58th in the world, tentatively.

===== MORRIS, IL =====

8/30 Sat Aft: KORY KINAL [Jekyll & Hyde] defeated Austin Minton [Bounty Hunter]

Kory Kinal remains a perfect 5-0 in head-to-head races (as reported to us) against Austin Minton, and he picked up his 21st win of the season in Morris.

Travis Groth won the first two brackets of All Star Tour racing on his way to being crowned the 2025 Alaskan tour champion. The five truck field qualified down to only four trucks in the bracket, which made for tense competition on the three-jump drag track. Rookie Anthony Brunner won his first career race on Sunday afternoon over veteran Aaron Basl in the awesome-looking Night Life and was in the final round 3 times over the 4 race weekend.

8/31 Sun Aft: LEROY LATHAM [Midnight Panic] defeated Andy Seiver [Boss Gator]

Brian Leach won the first race of his career on Saturday in Salem, Oregon with the Nitro Tour. He corrected a bobble coming out of the last turn to just beat Andy Seiver back to the line. Seiver was in the final round both nights, but on Sunday fell short to Leroy Latham who won the 2nd race of his career and first for the new Midnight Panic truck. Seiver is still searching for his first career win.

===== SAN JOSE, CA =====

This Monster Jam event did not include side-by-side racing and so points were not awarded. This was one of the events that champion contenders Tyler Menninga and Tristan England had on their schedule, so points here could have really helped them keep pace on their quest for the #1 ranking.

===== SAVANNAH, GA =====

8/29 Fri Ngt: WESTON ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Nick Pagliarulo [Kraken]

8/30 Sat Aft: JON ZIMMER JR [Terminal Velocity] defeated Jon Zimmer Sr [Uproar]

8/30 Sat Ngt: WESTON ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Jon Zimmer Sr [Uproar]

8/31 Sun Aft: NICK PAGLIARULO [Kraken] defeated Jon Zimmer Jr [Terminal Velocity]

8/31 Sun Ngt: JON ZIMMER JR [Terminal Velocity] defeated MJ Solorio [El Toro Loco]

The most consequential racing of the weekend was with Monster Jam in Savannah, Georgia. Championship contenders Tyler Menninga, Tristan England, and current world #1 Coty Saucier were all watching to see how Weston Anderson and Jon Zimmer Jr would perform. Weston is the only driver who can catch Coty Saucier in Total Points placing, which would knock down Saucier’s rank score by 1. Meanwhile Jon Zimmer Jr is competing with Tyler and Tristan in total points, and they’ll need to get ahead of him to catch Saucier.

Both Weston and Jon Jr had solid weekends, with Weston winning twice and Jon Jr winning twice with an additional runner-up. The result in the standings is that Weston is now 957 points behind Coty Saucier, but he still has 2847 points available across 9 more events.

Jon Zimmer Jr scored 776 points in Savannah and moved ahead of both Tyler and Tristan in the rankings. That has given Coty Saucier a slightly larger lead in the rankings now. Zimmer Jr still has 2203 points available across 6 events, including Rosemont (where he’ll be racing against Weston again) and the Saint Louis dome event (where he’ll be racing against Tristan and Tyler!).

Let’s not leave out Nick Pagliarulo, too. He won once in 2 final rounds this weekend, following up on his drag racing win in Lancaster, Pennsylvania the previous weekend. He was out biggest improver this weekend, gaining 10 spots in the rankings.

===== SCHAGHTICOKE, NY =====

8/28 Thu Ngt: JON KOEHLER [Brutus] defeated Joe Foley [Axe]

Team Scream was screaming down the track in Schaghticoke, New York with a two-jump drag racing track for their four-truck field. Jon Koehler in Brutus extended his winning streak to two as he follows up his Hougton, Michigan win with another here.

===== SHEDIAC, NB =====

8/30 Sat Aft: JIM PIGEON [Xtreme Jim] defeated Jordan Healey [Joe Fly]

8/31 Sun Aft: JIM PIGEON [Xtreme Jim] defeated Tyler Morcombe [Towasaurus Wrex]

Jimmy Pigeon goes 3-for-4 at the Centre for Speed in Shediac this year. He won the Sunday race back in June and swept the weekend here in August.

===== TWIN FALLS, ID =====

9/1 Mon Ngt: JACOB LADWIG [Rat Attack] defeated Tim Manchester [Hillbilly]

Jacob Ladwig became the 9th driver to win 20 races this year as he beat out Tim Manchester in Twin Falls with the Insanity Tour. Ladwig’s last win came on July 11th, as August was a challenging month for the team on track. His win in Twin Falls also gained him one spot in the rankings.

===== VAN WERT, OH =====

8/31 Sun Ngt: DALTON VANSKYOCK [Stomper] defeated Brandon Overmyer [American Outlaw]

Dalton VanSkyock closed out the Full Throttle Tour’s racing season with his third win in-a-row and bringing his points Total up to 809. He only has 9 events scored in our books which is below the minimum of 20 needed to make the rankings. Runner-up Brandon Overmyer has also had a great end to the summer, as he qualified for the finals in 6 of his last 7 events.
