===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR AUGUST 13th - 19th, 2025 =====
We are nearing our final month of the 2025 Open Championship season but we’re still seeing some big moves in the rankings! Tristan England won 3 of 4 in Fresno and jumps ahead of Ryan Anderson for the 3rd place in the rankings. Both the Basl brothers picked up wins and gained spots, including Daron’s two-race sweep with Throwdown at their debut event in Winchester, Indiana.
RJ Turner won twice in two cities as the Renegade Tour had a busy week in Maryland. The Rogers Brothers Chris and Bryant squared off a couple times with each picking up a win on the Full Throttle Tour. Bill Payne reached 25 wins for the 4th consecutive season, but Gavin Sell got the last laugh of the weekend with his 2nd win of the year.
And across the pond, Patrik Tenbrock in Lambo survived a close call against Ian Jones in Blaster when Jones got tripped up on the crushed cars in their final round race of the UK Nationals.
This was another very busy week and we’re expecting the upcoming week to be just a busy. As a reminder, ANYONE can send in racing results, so if you’re at any event and can remember to jot down the winners and loser, please send those results in to us so we can record it for the history books and help make every race count!
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Daniel Clark, Tim Manchester, Lane Larkin, Preston Perez, Mark Werner, Chuck Plumlee, David Rife, Nick Jones, Nate Bay, J.r. Rouse, Alexander Carrillo, Mike Christensen, Aaron Basl, Stanley Hernandez, Bryan Wagner, Matt Stoltz, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== DRAPER, UT =====
8/15 Fri Ngt: TIM HALL JR [Jurassic Attack] defeated Dalton Widner [Shell Shocked]
8/16 Sat Ngt: MIKEAL CHRISTENSEN [Vendetta] defeated Tim Hall Jr [Jurassic Attack]
A four-truck event might not seem that impressive, but it is when all four trucks are coming from Team Throttle Monster. The 1.163 caliber rating was the highest behind only Monster Jam this weekend and awarded 232 points to the winner. Tim Hall Jr was in the finals of the Crazy 8 racing both nights and gathered his 7th win of the season on Friday night. That moved him up 5 spots and he is now inside the Top 40 for the first time since April.
===== FRESNO, CA =====
8/15 Fri Ngt: TRISTAN ENGLAND [JCB DIGaton] defeated Devin Winfield [El Toro Loco]
8/16 Sat Aft: TRISTAN ENGLAND [JCB DIGaton] defeated Kayla Blood [Sparkle Smash]
8/16 Sat Ngt: TRISTAN ENGLAND [JCB DIGaton] defeated Tyler Menninga [Grave Digger]
8/17 Sun Aft: CARSON WILLIAMS [Monster Mutt Dalmatian] defeated Tristan England [JCB DIGaton]
Tristan England has become a real force in racing over the past few years, having won the World Finals and plenty of Stadium races. This weekend in Fresno he showed that he’s not afraid of the smaller tracks either, winning 3 of 4 on the Freestyle Mania Arena series in Fresno! The stacked field has a competition caliber of 1.231 (out of 1.500) and awarded over 350 points to the winner each night. With all those points quickly adding up, England jumped ahead of Ryan Anderson and now sits in the 3rd place in the world. This is his highest ranking of the season.
Former world champion Tyler Menninga was shutout of wins this weekend, partially due to some very strict calls on the turning poles in at least one race against England. The only blemish for England was a bobble in the final round on Sunday that let Carson Williams drive by for his 13th win of the season.
===== GAITHERSBURG, MD =====
8/13 Wed Ngt: RJ TURNER [War Wizard] defeated Cory Snyder [Toxic]
8/14 Thu Ngt: BRETT FALVEY [The Haymaker] defeated Daniel Donnelly [Illuminator]

===== HAMBURG, NY =====
8/15 Fri Ngt: TRITON ROBBINS [Krazy Train] defeated Michael Pagliarulo [Excaliber]
Hometown hero Triton Robbins successful defended his New York turf from the four invaders from Florida, and he has brother Montana faced off against the entire Pagliarulo clan in exciting U-turn racing. That’s his 24th win of the season and puts him over the 10,000 points threshold for the first time in his career. His previous high was 6363 in 2022. He is the 17th driver all-time to reach 10,000 points in a season and has the 3rd highest total this year.

What a great summer of racing for Bryant Rogers this year! Since June, he’s been in the finals in 10 of his 15 events including 3 wins. His latest victory was in Morrison on the Full Throttle drag racing track. After a very close win over brother Chris in the semi-finals, Bryant bested Bigfoot in the final round for the 4th time this season.
===== MOUNT MORRIS, MI =====
8/19 Tue Aft: ATHENA KOZEL [Lil' Miss Dangerous] defeated Elliott Miller [Frontier Truck Parts]

After losing in a photo finish to brother Bryant in the Morrison semi-finals earlier in the week, Chris Rogers got his revenge with a final round victory over the Relentless driver at the Full Throttle racing in Waterloo. Bryant still holds the head-to-head edge 6-2 this year.
===== WELLINGBOROUGH, ENGLAND =====
The UK Nationals were back in Santa Pod for more exciting racing. Unfortunately, once again, they only ran match races to determine the final standings and not a bracket, so we could not score it for points.
This event saw the debut of Tony Dixon’s daughter Georgina who drove Swamp Thing (and quite aggressively) during the racing portion of the event. Trouble in the turns, however, kept her down in 8th place.
In the final round, Ian Jones in Blaster lived up to the name with a huge leap over the cars on the down leg, and after a sharp turn he briefly held the lead before getting tripped up by the rampless car stack on the return leg. With the Blaster sitting sideways on the track, veteran Patrik Tenbrock in the legendary Lambo raced past him for the win.

8/15 Fri Ngt: BILL PAYNE [Rock Star] defeated Nick Jones [Spitfire]
8/16 Sat Ngt: GAVIN SELL [Reverse Racer] defeated Bill Payne [Rock Star]
